Jack and Willa had a very sweet and exceptionally short ceremony by the ocean. If anyone else would enjoy my services as an experienced atheist minister, I am available. :) I wanted to work in a Princess Bride joke, or perhaps a "Two rings to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them," but Jack said we had to make things convincing for his parents and family. So I said lots of things that make me a huge hypocrite, which is probably why I'm smiling so hard in the picture, but it's part of the job -- I swore a Hypocratic oath when I was ordained.
It was a very good time. I got out of the house, got to wear my suit, and even saw B and other friends I haven't seen in a long while.
Tomorrow I'll be in a different suit -- the surf looks to be good. And Wednesday I'm on my way to Vermont for two weeks to visit E. :) (She just started an online journal herself -- she writes really well.) I may even head out to Boston and/or New York -- I want to visit the hive city before deciding I hate it without justification. Then two weeks traveling California in late September, and back to Colorado in October, where I can hopefully get some physics done. Bring on the trees. I can't wait to be seeing more trees than people and cars.
